Personality: With so few chapters to work with so far, this is a bit sparser than I'd like. Some things they talk about in meta-text, like inability to control his actions, isn't actually shown yet so I can't put it in without headcanoning wildly.

What Jodio acts like and who he really is, are sometimes not the same thing. He maintains an image at school with his classmates of being friendly and likeable even though he has few actual friends, but it's surface level at best with anyone but family. He doesn't actually care about ... any of them. Not a one. They're a means to an end, namely his desire to become filthy rich, and thus are resources to be exploited. He's a small time drug dealer, and doesn't hesitate at all to deal to those same 'friends' and classmates, even if it's much harder drugs than just pot. Jodio has no remorse whatsoever about this, or any other action he takes for that matter. Through this drug trade, and playing gofer to other dealers and criminals far higher up on the food chain, he's gained a reputation for being utterly trustworthy and reliable, which allows him a lot of high regard from others even at such a young age. He knows when to keep quiet, knows not to tip off suspicious people, and can when he has to act like a perfectly ordinary teenager to throw off pursuit.

If Jodio's given a job, he will see it through, but it has nothing at all to do with the person who gave him his job and everything to do with that unshakable goal of becoming grotesquely wealthy. Although he doesn't ever outright say he enjoys the fine things, he certainly does - he has the latest phone, the latest handheld games, likes expensive drinks and the company of Expensive Looking Women even though he's only fifteen. What he does is calculated to help him gain more wealth, more influence, and more stuff.

And, as a side bonus nearly as important, all of this makes life easier for himself, his mother and his brother. Although Jodio struggles to care about things that don't directly interest him, his family is a key and important exception. He genuinely loves them, with all the depth a person should ordinarily have for their kin, and that his work in crime means his mother Barbara Ann has a good reputation and is treated very well by neighbors and townsfolk is a massive bonus. His older brother, Dragona (who may or may not be trans; word of god is Dragona is a masculine-identifying amab who simply likes to look and dress feminine, and so that's what I am defaulting to), is literally his partner in crime, and one of the very few people to whom Jodio will go to the defense of with very little provocation .. and very violently, up to and including nearly murdering a pair of police and setting their car on fire. The Joestar brothers have each other's backs, no matter what they're facing, and the idea of ever doing otherwise doesn't seem to occur to him at all. What benefits Jodio benefits Dragona, and he doesn't bother to try to separate his goals from his brother much. The depth of his loyalty to his family can't be understated; for a diagnosed psychopath it's nothing short of astonishing how hard he's willing to work to make things easier for them, how quick he is to jump to violence in their defense, or what lengths he'll go to simply to make their lives a little easier. To say he's protective of them is an understatement; that his brother tends to be up to his neck in trouble right alongside him is broadly irrelevant.

But if you're not kin, Jodio doesn't care. He isn't really capable of caring, though he can and does recognize the worth of having allies and nominal 'friends' and how they can be used or influenced to further what he wants, it's not real concern. Usagi for example, or even Paco may be an ally, but if they were to suddenly drop dead the primary concern would be losing an ally, not any actual attachment. Everyone not family is weighed the same way, measured as to what they can be used for and dismissed or cultivated depending, and if he hurts someone in the doing, or they just happen to get hurt, that's the breaks. He doesn't feel guilty about it, doesn't seem to feel guilt about anything at all. Threats are assessed similarly. He doesn't really feel fear either, at all, ever, but risk assessment is part of the job too, and although he can fake it when he needs to, being actually frightened of intimidating figures like powerful opponents or the police is something he isn't capable of.

It leaves him a little too prone to aggression versus obvious threats sometimes, especially when it comes to defending his family or his allies; he's pretty experienced for a fifteen year old but is definitely lacking in the sort of wisdom that comes from years and years of dealing with life threatening circumstances, and still is convinced his Stand gives him an advantage over everyone and thus he'll surely be the victor. His inexperience tends to make him a little too quick to believe people when they tell him something, too, even if his base instinct is mistrust when he has a scenario that looks like it MIGHT benefit him. An undercover cop tries to catch him in a sting operation, the off chance that he can extend his 'market' into college students means he'll go for it even when it's pretty obvious he's dealing with a cop.

Somewhere does deserve some mention of his boss and allies. Meryl Mae, the principle of his highschool is also the woman whom Jodio does most of his gofering and drug selling for, she occasionally assigns him thievery to do as well, and he's as dutiful and loyal as anyone could ask of a minion for her. Keeping her trust in him is a long term goal, that he's eschewed getting a six million dollar diamond and keeping it in favor of the much lower payout of twenty thousand dollars. It might be a VERY long term play but so far it's been the right decision. She's the boss - he doesn't chat with her in a casual way, though that goes for everyone not Dragona really, and accepts her directions without complaint. Paco, a small time pickpocket in school, is a trusted ally for his strength and cleverness in spite of his looks; Jodio's learned to trust Paco's instincts and judgment when he can't trust his own long before the siamese stand users attacked. They work well together, though Jodio does NOT consider him a friend and scorns Paco's kleptomaniac impulses. New to the pack of Meryl Mae's gofers is Usagi, a bizarre but very intelligent young man whom Jodio doesn't quite know what to think about but is beginning to likewise trust, after Usagi stuck with them through more than one dangerous situation he could have otherwise left. Although not an ally, Rohan Kishibe, a popular manga artist, once held that six million dollar diamond they were sent to steal, and Jodio's respect for his skill and storyline means he went out of his way to not seriously harm the artist in favor of confounding and manipulating him instead.

While Jodio knows when to not speak up, when doing one of his many illicit activities, and knows what information to NOT share, he can and does run at the mouth when it comes time to explain his own train of thought, or try to manipulate someone into doing what he wants. And the latter isn't infrequent - he's not as good at it as he thinks he is though. He's fond of pop culture, movies, anime and manga, and has a pretty solid knowledge of most media targeted at his age group circa 2022*.
